I'm extremely skeptical of any claims that organic food is somehow healthier, and I'm generally skeptical that it's in any way better for the environment and whatnot, as well.
I generally get the impression that labels which prominently feature the words "organic" or "natural" have far more to do with marketing than they do with the contents of the package.
Yes a UN study is political bullshit. Why did you even bother asking for a study if you weren't going to trust anything that went against your point of view in the first place?
I tend to agree. I cannot distinguish between a carrot farmed organically, or one farmed non-organically.
There is a possible distinction for animals, as grass fed cattle, sheep and pigs tend not to develop the distinctive "marbling" that grain fed animals do.
As to fish, I do notice in some varieties (Salmon) a textural difference in the flesh between the "wild" and "farmed" specimens.
This may be the case with fruits and vegetables but it is surely not the case with meat. Organic free range chicken and beef is much healthier and better for the environment then modern methods.
