Solid Study you found there.....

It sounds like a study done by some summer interns who were bored.

I'm extremely skeptical of any claims that organic food is somehow healthier, and I'm generally skeptical that it's in any way better for the environment and whatnot, as well.

I generally get the impression that labels which prominently feature the words "organic" or "natural" have far more to do with marketing than they do with the contents of the package.

Parasitic worms can be used to help alleviate some of the symptoms of inflammatory diseases...iirc.

That study entirely misses the point of organic food. Might have well told us how its more expensive than normal production

Yes a UN study is political bullshit. Why did you even bother asking for a study if you weren't going to trust anything that went against your point of view in the first place?

I tend to agree. I cannot distinguish between a carrot farmed organically, or one farmed non-organically.

There is a possible distinction for animals, as grass fed cattle, sheep and pigs tend not to develop the distinctive "marbling" that grain fed animals do.

As to fish, I do notice in some varieties (Salmon) a textural difference in the flesh between the "wild" and "farmed" specimens.

That couldn't be at all due to the fact that that quality of medicine as jumped a million fold.

It wasn't till the 1700s that surgeons and doctors started washing their hands in between patients.

No, let me correct myself.

The study doesn't miss the point, YOU DO!

@ You believing Lance is dirty with all fo the testing he goes through.

The rest is all I could on short notice.

It's made people rich selling it to gullible yuppies.

I'd say that's one benefit. The environmental aspect is another.

NPR Intelligence Squared had a great debate on organic foods. I highly recommend downloading the audio

This may be the case with fruits and vegetables but it is surely not the case with meat. Organic free range chicken and beef is much healthier and better for the environment then modern methods.
