SURPRISE SURPRISE Study finds that organic food has no benefit

It's a review of the studies you're poking fun at.

Which is known as a review. And your criticism is the criticism they're making. That studies on the benefits of organic foods are all of the checks you just mentioned.

You're looking at this backwards.

Actually, I prefer food that has been treated with pesticides, becasue that means it wasn't eaten by bugs.

i don't see how it wouldn't be beneficial to eat foods that don't have pesticides and hormones and shit in your food

This is such a dumb argument. Kepler didn't make any of his own observations, either. He just reviewed Tycho Brahe's records. And revolutionized astronomy.

it will be interesting to look back on organic and genetically modified crops in 50 yrs and see what's up.

does your browser have spell check, I think the pesticides are fucking with your brain.

Most pesticides used in farming don't see the market place

They are typically washed off or degrade. Most pesticides you eat are natural ones that occur in the plant itself.

And what does it mean to "eat a hormone"? What do you think hormones do in an organism, just hang out?

Have you ever participated in sports or been drug tested?

It's not that hard to beat the system. Tim Montgomery did it for a while. Rashid Ramzi did it for years (while coming under heavy suspicion)...Ramzi was the training partner and rabbit of the Mile WR holder El G who was widely suspected of taking EPO. Justin Gatlin failed several tests that he got "passes" on. Same with Bernard Lagat who magically had his B sample removed removed from testing after his A sample was positive. Back in the 70's the Fins were busted several times for blood doping. The training partners of Asafa Powell and Usain Bolt were busted last year for using PED's. (that's just some of it in running)

Beating the drug testers isn't that difficult in sports. And there's too much upside compared with getting caught.

You need to understand that we use chemical fertilizers and pesticides FOR A REASON. It's not just because they want to poison you MUAHAHAHAHA, it's because they make the plants grow better and kill insects and parasites. Do you WANT intestinal worms? Humans have had them for thousands of years too, so they must be better for our bodies.

Yeah. I hadn't paid much attention to the thread until you showed up. Because... well, I don't usually click on links and it was an EC thread. But even the first response is hilarious in hindsight (after you spelled that out):
Moreover, they found, what studies have been done have largely focused on short-term effects of organic eating -- mainly antioxidant activity in the body -- rather than longer-term health outcomes. And most of the antioxidant studies failed to find differences between organic and conventional diets. The studies on organic foods all the miss the point and don't indicate they are beneficial! Therefore the review on the studies is invalid.

wasn't whole foots supposed to get a boycott because of the CEO's healthcare opinion?

but their sales are way up this year

UN found meat industry responsible for large amount of methane emissions. Cattle feces from corn feed doesn't act as fertilizer, it causes pollution in irrigation, and reduces land quality.
