Superman Returns #2: He hears our cry for help

November 28th to be exact! (yae I get to buy 2 dvds that day! Supes & Joan of Arcadia)

And yeah, I agree, this film did pay homage to Superman I & II. If any of you read the novel, it pays more homage to it. During the flight and fight scene when Clark is saving the plane, in his mind he thinks of when he first met Lois: how she was on an aircraft and then he saved her: symmetry as the book called it.

And then when Superman says that it's "still the safest way to travel", in the novel, Lois is thinking he remembered.

Something I liked about the book (and maybe the movie too, can't remember if the line was inserted was this one by Lois:

He's a little fragile, but he'll grow up to be big and strong like his dad, won't you?

This line is so great because now we no longer picture Richard as the father but rather Clark/Superman. So now when I think on this line it makes me wonder if Lois really is talking about Superman since the pretext is clear!

I think we can allow caps from official trailers. If that's the case, I'm sorry and you may repost them with a small disclaimer (saying the caps are from official sources) and maybe a link to the official trailer. :)

Thank you.

Well I wouldn't consider "Star Wars: Empire Strikes Back" the darkest of the films if you take into consideration "Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith". That one is ten times darker than that of ESB (but I'm a Star Wars geek anyways.)

It would be bad if they tried to do that to the Man of Steel. Sure Supes has had his moments of being bad on occasion but never dark. I can't picture them turning him into some kind of batman wanna-be.

^oh really???.....ok:D - not even if its from like trailers???cuz thats where i found them from:D haha i never made them - im not skilled like that:lol:

Here is a drawing I did a while back (in December). I finally got it back from my art teacher. It was one of those up-scale drawings.

Same. I've always wanted either Keri Russell, Rachel McAdams or Zooey Deschanel to play Lois Lane.

Oh, I want to read the book now. :D I'd probably go and look for one tomorrow. Should be fun. Because some stuff in the book might have not made it on the movie so that'll be an interesting read.

As for your speculation. I dunno know, if I were Lois, I'd still question it. She probably is questioning it, too. She's smart and I think she just wouldn't accept an idea of some sort of immaculate conception.

Thanks. Glad you liked the icons. :D

Oh, yes. I love to have more Clark/Superman/Lois scenes. I remember the Niagara scene before. I  that one.

Martha should play a longer role next time.

i'm sooo late, but i just watched this movie and LOVED it...well mostly cause he's so hot :D
