I have a orion hcca 12.4 4 ohm subwoofer how do you wire the sub to 1.5 ohms because i want to get the most wattage out of the amp so how to you wire it to the lowest ohm?
Umm, it's 4 ohm. There's no way to change that. Two subs could be wired in parallel for 2 ohm but that's it.
You are right though. The lower the ohms the more power is pushed but it will also have higher distortion and more heat is generated. The excessive heat will shorten the life of the amp. You don't get something for nothing.
