This is a message going out to a few people for different opinions so I might say things that you already know.
Hey guys, I have a question for you. I am redoing my sub setup and want to know which way you think would be best to go. I drive a 1996 Honda Accord and have 2 earthquake DBXi-12s run off an earthquake 2000w amp. I either want to get 2 more DBXi-12s, and run those off a 5000w amp. Or, get rid of those subs and look into something bigger, like kicker soloX-12s of a rockford or kicker amp. I want the subs to be louder, but I am not sure if they 2 more DBXi’s will do it. I am not into any SPL competitions, which is what I think the earthquakes will do, more spl, not much more db. Would the kicker’s give me more bass? Not restricted to kickers, I am also looking at earthquake subzeros and JL 13w7. Comments, Opinions, Ideas? Thanks!
