subwoofer cubic feet question?

ok so im going to get this new box for my truck the box has 1.04 cubic feet of air room per champer. my subs say they need to be in 0.35. my question is do u think my subs will work ok in the 1.04 cubic box even though thats more air space that they need.
 
work yes sound good on the highs.... nope...
Thats ALOT of extra space... .7 cubic feet and i cant imagine the subs displacement being more than .15 if it requires a .35 ft box...
