Term contract while not protecting the price is the worst kind of contract, which is now how the cellular providers are changing their new terms to. Bell Mobility is known (infamous?) for increasing the SAF for their cellular service from $6.95 to $8.95 per month even for contracted customers. If you think this is alright, think if they increase it by $10, later $50, and later $100. then what will you be thinking?
When I asked if contract is necessary, the answer came back (Ex Agent EV) saying that with the exception of buying a used receiver, ALL customers must have a term contract for Bell TV. I asked a few other work around ways, like not getting the discounts etc, and then no positive answers as to the way to not have the contract.
Then I even got ridiculed by others, including a mod, as to my "integrity" as a customer (a moral issue), by asking simply why a contract is necessary. Someone else said that it is like the cellular phone provider, which I already debunked that it is not (cellular providers all allow no contract month to month service, and no used phone is needed to be a requirement).
You must have a term contract, while within the term contract, you must bear with any price increase from Bell. Well, you tell me why someone want a loose-loose situation.
