i have this bass package and it sounded good in my jeep with a big box. I got a truck and they are know in a truck box. they arent as loud because of the lack of air space im guessing. Would getting shallow mount subs help or just a bigger amp.

Ah buddy... You want my phone number?!? haha

If your speakers fit in your box then that aint the problem. Did u keep your radio too? or are u using the one that came in the truck? that changes the effect on how it runs to your amp then how it sounds out of your speakers. Play with your radio settings awhile then if not *here it comes* AMP! MORE WATTS MORE POWER! MORE POWER MORE BASS! MORE BASS MORE BOOM!!

DONT listen to Kuda or Cuda or what ever the hell it was. Your right, subs work off the air inside the box. Shallow mount subs could help... depends on how much volume of air will be left over. I'd try to get a ported box, if the one you have isn't already ported. The ported box will allow more air, obviously, into your box and possibly get your subs bass back. As for the amp, only get one if yours isn't matched up with your subs correctly.

Just in case you dont know how to match them up heres a quick lesson: Take the TOTAL RMS power of all your subs and purchase an amp that has the same RMS. And make sure to set your gains correctly. I've also heard somewhere that if you put layers of cotton in the bottom of your box it will "trick" your subs into thinking theres more air space and creating a deeper bass.....but I've never tried it so I'm not sure if its even true. But good luck!

The air space is one reason that that the sound of your bass will change. And it does take more power to move subs that are in smaller boxes.

You will never get the booming bass back though,if you are using a smaller box.
Are your subs facing forward now behind the seat, this will change the sound in your truck a lot.
most subs are rear firing so the bass is dieing into the back wall of your truck.
Shallow subs don't work the same as normal subs do.
That won't fix your problem. But PIONEER are your best bet.

This sub / box will give you excellent sound quality. See how it is ported it will allow the bass to get into the truck and you wont need to replace your Amp.
JL makes something like this too.

Hope this helps
