Stupid Republican idea of the day

While the writing may not be Shakespeare, I don't think there's much argument that Harry Potter is a huge contribution to culture. HP is going to be with us for a long, long time.

The continuation of that train of thought is that if she is not elected, not on the Federal payroll, and has not been confirmed by the Senate, she should not be in charge of anything.
But this is awfully behind the times of them. IIRC, Laura Bush was involved in literacy/education, and in women's issues overseas.

Well, he works for the people of South Carolina, many of whom voted for Obama. How about, considering the folks he answered to, who are not the people of South Carolina?

Well, here's a stupid idea I'd like to put out there early, cuz I'm sure it's going to happen. When Crist is gearing up for his senate primary, he'll get teabagged with the fag card.

It's already started in SC for Lindsey Graham. The "troo Amerikuns" are calling him horrible names, like "librul" for working with Sen. Kerry on the environmental legislation. Ironic, no? Teabaggers trying to oust Graham! :D

Well, then, put in oversights of whatever committee-head she might become. Not oversights on the first lady.

I guess all the white people who supported white presidents get their popularity counted, but for some reason, black people who support a black president don't count at all.

Disgusting vermin. But I repeat myself.

I believe that a black person's support counts for 3/5 of a white person's support. I think it is in the Constitution or something.

NPR Interview said:
INSKEEP: You said that's something ["issues in the insurance market that we can regulate a little bit better"] that should be looked into. Who is it that should look into that?

Mr. STEELE: I'm talking about those who - well, who regulates the insurance markets?

INSKEEP: That would be the government, I believe.
I think Steve Inskeep was getting frustrated at this point.

The thing is, he didn't spend anything on buying the dog at all. Bo was a gift from Ted Kennedy. The Obamas spent nothing to adopt him, except for whatever personal donation they made to a shelter in DC to make up for not getting a shelter dog.

Judging from her history, it's probably going to lead to a whole bunch of bad ideas.
Also, it's not so good for Alaska. It's right after she started lying about how much food some towns had...

Writes some pretty steamy love-gush, for a Republican. Not Newt Gingrich level hot stuff, nor anything like "Scooter" Libby and the bear necessities. No, he lacks their fervor and urgency, but he compares well with the sex scenes in Bill Buckley's dime-store James Bond series. Explicit enough, if wordy, but you get the impression he typed fuck scenes with rubber gloves and a surgical mask on....

Still, pretty hot for a tighty-righty, gotta say. Seems they breed pretty much like normal folks. Who knew? And who would have guessed a few hundred gay marriages would destroy so many Republican marriages so quickly! I mean, man, that was fast!

Another day, another asshat Republican Congressman. This one actually argued that President Obama's mother would have probably aborted him if only abortions were paid for by the US government.

I don't know which is more offensive: That statement or the later one that talked about the brilliant mind of Clarence Thomas.

To a certain extent- but if you get too stupid, you are too dumb to be envious. And that's when they get you.

She's not in charge of anything.

Cousin Lemuel here, 'lucs out trying to get the dog to sober up, been chasing imaginary squirrels and just treed a Prius but....you sure you haven't confused eye-ronic with mo-ronic?

There is a quite massive, entirely awesome church complex almost directly across the highway from me here in the exurbs of Charlotte created entirely by money donated from people who listen to the prosperity-from-donating-your-money message. Then there is the mansion the guy who runs the thing is building upstate: $5,000,000 worth of it.

I know who prospers, alright.

Okay, I'm not a huge fan of this thread, but there is clearly something utterly bizarre going on here.

Next up: "Obama spends $20 on haircut, enrages Hair Cuttery Dads."
