Stone Temple Pilots

I think I feel pretty much the opposite of most people. I prefer their later albums as they sound more genuine and less forced.

Well I wasn't saying you were wrong, to me its not really grunge And i think what the artist intended for it to be plays a large role in deciding.

Although if you think so that's your right!

surprisingly enough, i couldn't find a thread dedicated to this once awsome band.
i got into them via my sister, or rather my mid sister's junkie boyfriend, back when i was a wee lad of some 14 years. Core is in my hurable opinion a classic album of the 90's, alongside with Nirvana's Nevermind, one of the rare pure 10 albums in my collection.

however, i have not heard their other albums as i fear they do not hold a candle to Core, can anyone verify?

Core is a great album but Purple is incredible. I wouldn't say mindblowing like Nevermind was but lyrically, Purple is better than Core. Although Core rocks harder. I agree that # 3 was hit and miss with a couple of really good songs but also some really bad ones. I never got into # 4 or 5.

STP rock, i just recently bought an album at a used cd store for 2.99 and ive been lisetin to it ever since....its got "Trippin on A Hole in a Paper Heart" and "Art School Girl" on it....ohhh and i love how they have toahiaph on GUITAR HERO II!!!!

Yeah album 3 was hit or miss, 4 and five sucked, but I think Purple was amazing.

Thats where you find interstate love song, vasoline, big empty, and unglued.

yes!

They weren'tcnsidered one of the better banRAB at the time but I think listening to them now they had some really good stuff.

"True" jazz fans stiffle intelligent conversation, forget about them. I think this topic at the very least sparks intresting conversation.

To those of you who felt the need to open-mindedly say "their not jazz", maybe next time try to make an argument a little better since its a little easier to side with "no".
