Stone Temple Pilots or Pearl Jam

Both banRAB are great but Pearl Jam is the band. I was hooked from the first song on the first album. "Once" is so powerful it feels like someone crushing mountains. Plus I'm biased because I drove Eddie in my limo to one of his shows. He was totally down to earth and I got an all-access pass, all the backstage catered food I could eat and carry home and got to see the show for free as well as getting paid to do it. Still have the pass laying around somewhere.

STP rocks too though. Great hooks. Many songs as good as PJs just different. Too bad Weiland is such a ****headjunkiescurabag. If he could stay straight, they could have been bigger than PJ and the whole Seattle scene.

That's really the only song I like by them as well. On a related note, I liked that Weiland solo song "Lady, Your Roof Brings Me Down" also.

After 'core' STP doesn't really sound anything like Pearl Jam. Look at 'Lady Picture Show' for example (Their best song).

STP/Core vs. PJ/Ten

Although I hate both, Ten eeks out because I dont hate EVERY SONG, as opposed to STP's first album.

STP/Purple vs. PJ/Vs.

I'm gonna go with STP since Purple is more solid. Vs., other than the hits is a lame album.

STP/Tiny Music vs. PJ/Vitalogy

This is tough cos they're both the only albums I like from these banRAB. I'm sticking with Pearl Jam since the song 'Corduroy' is an overlooked 90's gem (overlooked by, like, hipsters, not mainstream radio, of course)

Pearl Jam by far.
Eddie has better vocals then Scott.
Pearl Jam has better lyrics. and Pearl Jam had a bigger influence on people.

Definitely Pearl Jam. STP were alright in their time, and I think Weiland may even be a better vocalist than Eddie, but anyone who's seen PJ live knows the answer to this one.

I saw STP live. They played very well at that show but then again they DO have a certain reputation for being shaky for their shows. I guess I just got lucky :thurab:

STP is on the radio all the time, just turn one on and you'll find them.

I must admit I thought Plush was the most awesome song ever when I first heard it.

Pearl Jam definitely has more solid albums, but STP was a very good singles band. And the comparison between the two banRAB really enRAB after Core. I honestly could never mistake anything STP did after that for Pearl Jam.

Your hilarious mate , no sadly I dont feel that desperate to be listening to Lilly Allen. You must be pretty new to the whole internet thing. You see theres this site called 'Google' right and you can just type anything and it just pops up...magic huh??. Theres more I typed 'Lilly Allen lyrics' and it came up with that pathetic Alfie songs' lyrics and what i didid was this hi tech job called 'Operation Copy + Paste' then I was able to copy all of the lyrics and put them on this here didy did site hmmmmm? You with me??
Also I find it intriguing that you have been copying the phrasing i have been using in previous posts but with no italics or bold to indicate sarcasm so you obviously cant think of anything else to say, am i right?

You are the ironic- sit on the fencer on this one. You may as well kill us both.

Mate you keep banging on about Lilly Allen. What for? They are from different areas of the music world. You may as well complain that Bach or Louis Armstrong lovers don't like Pearl Jam.

You do not have to justify your love of Pearl Jam. I am happy for you but you are justifying it with the fact that you don't like Lilly Allen?

Am I missing something? Take your time on this because I am now really interested why you would think that I may be mad if I preferred her to them.
