I am a 22 year old female. I have been battling with severe nausea, acid reflux, GERD and Hiatal hernia for the last 7 years. I have had every test done in the book. Upper GI, Endoscopy, sonogram, blood work and even a vestibular battery test at the Cleveland Clinic.
My symptoms are strange and doctors always seem to be stumped by them.
I have a very sensitive stomach. Very often heavy exercise causes me to get severe stomach cramps and I bring up a thick white mucus. I also get incredibly nauseous when this happens.
If I don't get at least 6 hours of sleep I will have an upset stomach all day.
If I eat too early in the morning my stomach will be upset for hours.
Stress does play a role in my problems also.
I often feel pressure in my chest and esophagus.
My stool ranges in color, often it is a very light brown color.
I have tried every digestive drug on the market. Acid reducers such as prilosec work well but the acid reflux is not my main problem, it is the constant nausea.
I have tried adding more fiber to my diet, but when it comes down to it I know for a fact the problem is not my diet. I was having the same problems when I only ate crackers for weeks.
I have had MRI scans to check for tumors and none were found.
I have seen almost every doctor in the Western NY area and eventually couldn't afford heath insurance so I have stopped all tests.
I also tried experimenting with anti depressants and anti anxiety medications, but that also lead me nowhere.
I am not on any other medications that could be triggering these problems.
Please help, I am out of options.
