Stereotypes you've hated

I am tired of one general stereotype that was used so often in classic cartoons: that the predator or antagonizing animal is bad and the prey or defending animal is good. Although that does sometimes make for a good storyline in individual cartoons, predators play an important role in real ecosystems. This stereotype only adds to the bad reputation that mammalian predators have always had in the United States, especially considering how easy it is to sympathize with the defending animal.

Yeah, happy, well-adjusted Goths are a rarity, but they do exist. I had a Goth girl in my high school English class, and she was an upbeat, friendly person with a good sense of humor. She just happened to like dressing like the Bride of Dracula.

I'm sure this has been mentioned already, but I hate that the girls always win whenever there is a "Boys vs Girls" situation.

ex:

Boy: "I'm going to try out for the basketball team!"
Girl: "Hey! Me too!"
Boy: "Ha! Girls can't play basketball!"
Girl: "I'll show you!"

Big Girl(s) vs Boy(s) confrontation, in which the girl(s) win.

Girl: "See, I told ya!"
Boy: "You're right, I'm sorry I doubted you. Can you help me with my jumpshot?"
Girl: "Sure!"

ARRGH! That plot is so played out it's ridiculous.
