STEP BY STEP u340 Tutorial.

Can you send me the step by step i tried to get them from this thread.... i nned them as reminders when i am flashing a phone..... if you could do this it will be greatly appreciated.
 
I'm now having the same problem with one of the u740's I've been tinkering around with.

What drivers are you using? Someone over at M-F suggested using the Mobile Action drivers.

That will be my next step. I'll let you know how it goes.......

*EDIT: Driver issue confirmed! You also need to use the correct version of Samsung PST FULL. The copy I have works flawlessly, and NEVER requires a password. I don't have to use PST Lite or anything--I just go right into the WAP settings and BAM, I have access.

what driver are you using to get these programs to recognize the phone? ive searched for a u340 driver but there isnt one i have found. numerous sites told me there wasnt one, searching this forums it said something about using the a650 drivers for bitpim which i will try in a bit for media files. but i still need to flash the phone. computer recognizes its there but it wont get the drivers. so whats the secret to getting the phone to be recognized by either samsungPST or cdma shop because i have both.

the phone is new from the package, and i dont think it neeRAB activated so im not going to.

I think I got it now. Can send password, change ESN, load PRL file but can not write SPC cause I'm using free version of CDMA workshop

Now, the phone said "Init.....programming needed"

1. Is it good to go?
2. Can I used this phone to active new Cricket account?
3. What do I need to do *228 or manually?

You aren't able to see the pics because the person that created this tutorial linked it to another website. Therefore, the pics aren't going to show up.

You really don't need the pics to be able to do the tutorial. It is pretty well written.
 
I am using Samsung PST not lite. I don't think the tutorial said to use lite, but I honestly could be wrong or have misread it but the version on PST that I am using is 1.0.002 and the DLL that I am using is 1.0.022. Let me know if this is correct and thanks again for your interest in helping me.

sorry but i have to lead with a question
i am trying to flash a u340 i have everything i need thanks by the way however in your tut it says to select emergeny + efs my only option is emergency should this make a difference because when loading the file i keep getting an error do i need a different version of pst?????

how to connect to workshop v3.3.5? mine wont connect after the flash. the modem its configured on com 2 other programs see it(unicdma, bitpim etc), i click connect on cdma workshop it says failed, then i click on read says failed i continue n click QCDM says failed n then on go to security to send password n says phone no accepting password phone may restart.
 
Yep! It's currently the only way to edit the settings on the u470 Juke. But I suggest you use the native .DLL for the phone you have if it's available.
 
does this work on meid u340s? I've successfully flashed the phone but i am having problems loading an esn any help is greatly apreciated
All my phone has on the back is the hex dec witch converts to an meid dec

what is my best course of action ??
 
Actually I just tried Samsung PSTlite and it is loading the .bin file, so we will see how it goes. This might be a solution to the issue the other guy was having as well.
