STEP BY STEP u340 Tutorial.

I know that I don't need to read the phone at all but when I flashed the bin over it doesn't have the Samsung Diagnostics Port, just the modem shows up and it won't let me send the default code or anything. I'm gonna keep working on it and figure it out. It's probably something stupid and just user error.

update:
Took the battery out for about 30 minutes. Than followed the tutorial again. It worked this time.Thank you guys. :clapping:

Now anyone know what to do with a u340 that came out of a box dead. It's brand new. It doesn't power up at all. I tried diff battery. It was dropped off by a customer. He told me to do whatever I want with it. So any suggestions including pixie dust and a hammer are welcome. :silly:
 
After finding a suggestion...I got the prl loaded using qxdn and it now shows up.

Now it's...

ERI: None

Can anyone confirm that the H: and ERI: None should be like that?

when i plug my phone in it doesnt read in pst. i had done one and it read disconnected but the esn showed so i hit start and it worked, but i tried one today and it wouldnt read. i tried hitting start again and it started reading but at com init it failed and i couldnt get the phone to read. anybody know why that is? i didnt put it in emergency mode because in emergency mode it wouldnt read. i changed the com port and instead of emergency mode i put it in normal + EFS. thats how it worked the first time for me.
 
i have problem when i flash it in cricket and tried to put it back in verizon..
when i use cricket dll and put verizon flashfile its says'error in bin file"
i tried to put in emergency mode and flash it same verizon file but still error in comport... and i tried in verizon dll i have problem to it says"cant go to downloadmode".....

any suggestion in this problem?

One last thing. Do not forget that this phone WILL need manual programming (*228 downloaRAB a weird MDN & MIN). To get into the programming menu, you have to use ##626*; do your MDN first as it will overwrite the MIN.
