STEP BY STEP u340 Tutorial.

Did you do the 47*68#13580 steps? Also, when you flashed the Cricket bin did you put the phone in emergency as well as samsung PST?

I always use the Samsung PST to load the PRL.

I tried to hit everything it could be. Hopefully this helps.

Isriam Edit* If you have problems use the com port # of the USB Modem in your hardware modem. Once you click Connect in CDMA Workshop, click QCDM to let it connect to the phone.

awesome- this would have helped last night, but thanks for the help via PM. next ones will be a bit easier. but, I dont use Workshop / dont have workshop. i tried to dl the demo, but doesnt work on my comp.
 
Great post.

Had a question...I followed the tutorial on flashing one of these. It's looks to be loaded and everything, but I noticed under settings/phone info/version it has...

PRL: None
S: u340.AG27
H:
ERI: None

Is this right?

Thanks for your quick answer. yes I did all that. This sucks. I am lost here. I wish I could get the qpst to read the phone without any error.
 
Now how do I activate it? New service.

Go to local store or I can call customer service to activate?

Someone said early in this thread it have to program it manually. Can not do *228

If do it manually how do I know my MIN and MDN?

Thanks for posting the tutorial. I do have a problem though--my SamsungPST does not have Emergency + EFS as an option. What version of SamsungPST are you using?
 
I had the same problem and it drove me crazy for weeks. It's not SPST version, it's the DLL version. You need Verizon U340 DLL version 1.0.022.
