Star Wars 7, 8 and 9

There are books post Jedi aren't there? Those are considered by fans to be the 7,8,9"trilogy" stories.

In terms of future live action stories productions, that'll be the live action tv series due next year or the year after, set between Episodes III and IV.

I enjoyed the prequels, too. Its only Jar Jar that really grates on me. I think Anakin could have been better cast (in both incarnations) but he doesn't ruin it and I think Hayden picked up towarRAB the end of RotS.

AotC could have done without the lovey scenes on Naboo (the love story could have been written more into the action, as it was in ESB) but aside from that I thought it was a great film. RotS was as good as anything in the original trilogy, IMO. Wirth it just for the duels between Palp and Mace and Palp and Yoda.

I think TMP could be made a much better movie with just a bit of editing (ie. cut out all the non-essential Jar Jar scenes)

I checked the quotes on wiki before I posted, don't know how accurate they are. But apparently he's letting slip about SW sequals even in more recent interviews.

The difference is that 10 years on around the late 80s, Star Wars was considered a bit of a classic. 10 years on from Phantom Menace, yes it's been almost 10 years now, no such critical renaissance has occured.

I'm sorry, but I really don't believe that to be the case. The wiki quotes refer mostly to him debunking the idea, with one instance where he made a joke after he fumbled the Ep number of A New Hope.

I think it happened a bit later than that actually, but I take your point. The Phantom Menace is never going to be regarded as a classic. Revenge of the Sith should be, though. ;)

Anyway, nice to see theres a few who agree with me. Wasn't sure what sort of response I'd get by "coming out" as a Prequel fan, so to speak. :D
