Star Trek

Yeah it was an enjoyable movie. A good reboot, especially after the last few lacklustre TNG films! I hope they find different enemies next time(don't do Khan he has a been done in II!!!).

Yes, it was. Apparently there was much hoo-ha amongst the production staff about filming it until William Shatner turned round and said "for god's sake, let's just film it!"

I'm a long term Trek fan and TNG is by far my favourite series, but no, Nemesis was awful. Not better in any way. Not better than anything. Bad, bad film.

In fact, I remember Jonathan Frakes being asked if he wished they'd made another film, a couple of years after Nemesis. He responded with the following (paraphrased, as best as I can remember it);

"Yes, I wish we had made another film after Nemesis. In fact, I wish we'd made another film instead of Nemesis."

Even the cast hated it!

OK - Maybe I was bored by that point but the two mates I was with didn't pick up on it either.

Quite clearly because you picked up properly on it everybody else shoud have as well

I've grown to find Nemesis an entertaining film but no fan can complain about the changes in the new film while holding Nemesis in high regard. It probably broke more established facts than most of the other movies combined!

Well I have seen it and was entertained for a couple of hours. Thought the characters were pretty good and the film did feel fresh.

Had huge problems with the plot though in that a lot of what happened depended on old Spock being incredibly fallible which was a new one on me.
So he not only miscalculates on a supernova but then drags a nut job through time and then hanRAB him a doomsday weapon - illogical captain.

None of it felt terribly new either in that we have seen these same drab unremarkable kinRAB of villain in Wrath of Khan, Undiscovered Country, Nemesis.

Kirk's captaincy of the Enterprise came about a little bit too easily, in fact he didn't do anything to deserve it !!

Feels like I have a bit of a downer on it but I did enjoy it. Was just surprised that it certainly wasn't as uniformly great as all the critics have been saying.

I know what you mean,I'm not a trekkie but son is.So i have seen all the films,But that is the first that i could have watched again there and then. Now we all have to wait.

Yeah people keep saying Khan but I would rather it was something brand new. I think the Klingons will feature heavilty though considering they weren't in the first film at all (except in deleted scenes).

I saw it yesterday and i absolutely loved it .I normally hate anything sci fi related but i really enjoyed ,did help that captain kirk was FINNNNNNNNEEEEE lol

I watched this for the first time on Friday, and then again on Saturday. I loved it.

I wanted to watch it at the cinema but no one was interested enough to come with me, so I missed out!

I loved Chris Pine as Kirk, thought he was really good. And also the LOTR guy as the doctor was brilliant. I loved the humour as much as the rest of it, parts of the film had me giggling away!

I'm not a Trekkie by any means but loves this film, so I've ordered my own copy!
