 I'm doing good. Writing. How are you?

I hope they do decide to do a sequel. even if 2011 is too long. J.J. Abrams did really well for a guy who almost didn't commit to the project (but I'm sure glad he did) so here's crossing our fingers that he directs again.

My brother and I are going to see it again today. This'll be number three for me. :D

Jenny! :back_hug: I haven't seen you around in ages hun, how's it going?

Hahaha, great minds ;) And thank you! I had to show my love :D I think I'll probably alternate between different lines from the film for a while, I love it so much!

I love everything you had to say about the film :sigh: I also love the relationship between Kirk and Bones, which is great in its own right. They're obviously best friends and like brothers, and I loved that in a few simple scenes, the movie showed that. I love the dynamics between the crew in general and all the different relationships, but basically how they're like this big family in space

There's definitely sequels planned, I actually posted about it earlier in this thread. Here's my original post, if you're interested :) I already can't wait, seriously. I want a new movie now! But J.J. has got to direct it, and the cast has got to come back, if there's any chance of it being as awesome as the first.

Mine is Kirk/Uhura as you know and i could like Chekov/Uhura, him getting a crush on the older woman ;) :D

Same here, I saw it this afternoon and as a long time Star Trek fan, I absolutely loved it.  The movie was superbly cast and it showed that the screenwriters were fans of the franchise.

In concerns with shipping in the Star Trek Universe? Just Uhura/Spock, maybe Nurse Chapel/Leonard McCoy.

I read somewhere Zoe mentioning doing a sequel

I wouldnt be surprised if there is a sequel in a couple of years

You just made my day with the Gag Reel info!!! :yay: OMG...I have to tell my friends :lmao: They'll love this!!!

JUst came back from this, I really liked it, and you dont have to be a Star Trek fan to follow it, so that was good

I thought Chris Pine as James T Kirk was great, though i was abit surprised with the Spock/Uthra pairing, i thought it was going to be JT Kirk/Uthra

Yeah it was believable and good writing. My best friend isn't that happy with the pairing of Spock and Uhora, but that's mainly because she has a crush on the actor who plays Spock.

I thought it was a great movie, what summer blockbuster should be. And I really glad they focus more on the story and the characters than any special effects. They got back to the heart of Star Trek which made me happy.

I'm definitely up for seeing it again.

I like that poster, looking forward to this even though i wasnt a fan before of the tv show - not a sci-fi fan

Hey Sadia!

How is it that you and I happen to like most of the same films? And love your sig.

I just thought I'd drop in since I've been following this thread since I saw Star Trek for the first time last Wednesday and post something.

After seeing the film, I can't believe I was so against it when it first came out. I think I did so because I knew it was going to be one of those fan films and I didn't want to get caught up in what everyone else. Even though Chris Pine and Karl Urban were in it, two men that I absolutely love and have loved for years.

But when I finally saw it, I just fell. I can't even say. I had to go back to the theater the next day and see it again, I was completely hooked and fledging on obsessed with it. I desperately want to see it again, as does my brother and father so I may convince them to go sometime this week.

Now, I never watched the original series, nor the original films, but I knew enough from reading about them and flipping through channels to have a basic understanding of who everyone was and the atmosphere going into it. But I am definitely a fan of this film, most prominently the relationship between Kirk and Bones (love them).

And, oh my gosh, the cinematography of this film. Like someone mentioned, how beautiful the scenes were when the camera panned out into space and showed the majesty of it with the opponent ships. So beautiful. And the acting was superb, which I was not expecting.

Just curious, does anyone know if there are sequels planned? If so, is the cast contracted to return in their roles?

Chris Pine looks hot when he has a bloody/bruise face, how many times did he get beaten up lol

I didn't hear that exactly, but I know he's a massive fan of the original show, so that doesn't surprise me!

Through some insanity-driven reasoning, obviously  Rising star my ass.
