I have gotten sick of my Blackberry Tour. Terrible reception in areas where I had no problems with my Curve 8330m, terrible battery life, and a slow, clunky, and boring OS. After seeing my dad's awesome EVO, I have decided Android is the way to go. The current two devices (besides the monstrous EVO and soon to be released Epic 4G) are the HTC Hero and the Samsung Intercept. I like the Hero for Sense, the ability to root (which I'm sure will be available on the Intercept soon), and HTC's awesome build quality. However, there is no hardware keyboard, which may be a problem, at least when I first use it. Additionally, in a few months, the device will be a year old, which may mean updates may stop regularly coming in. I like the Intercept for the hardware keyboard and the "newness" of the device. However, I have owned 2 touchscreen Sammy phones in the past (Eternity and Impression for AT&T) and have had terrible experiences with the screen and build quality. I realize that this may not be an issue, since the screen is capacitive and it is a smartphone, but I'm not sure if I'm ready to trust Samsung again.
