Speedometer dont work.?

I hooked up a CD player into my 1998 Ford Taurus and now my Speedometer dont work. I was told it was probly a blown fuse so I checked them and it was not it. Could anyone tell me why it wouldnt work after hooking up my cd player??
 
There could be attributes to this. One did you check in car and under hood fuses. If so you could now have a faulty ground wire behind your dash. Or a bad VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor) which is located on the transmission tail housing. You can test the speed sensor with a voltmeter and an electric drill.

Sounds like it was going to go out before hooking up the CD player.
 
um are your shure u check all the fuses? because plugging in a cd player wont break it, If you can't figure it out you might have to go to a mechanic and spend like 100 or 200$ if ur car is still underwarrantyy parts im sure u can go to where u got it and get it fixed for free.
