Southland More4

I suppose the reason it may not do very well over here is it was on at 10pm following "The Closer" which although I love has never really got good ratings over here, not sure how that has done this time with the 9pm start time as opposed to around 11pm previously. :(
 
Lydia's partner was shot in the stomach by a neighbour a few weeks ago. The neighbour and his wife were rowing and iirc he went round to invite them to come for a drink and a chat -socially, not in his cop capacity - and when the neighbour opened the door the neighbour, who was still rowing with his wife shot him.

Suarez was brought in as Lydia's partner even though she didn't want another partner, and there was a lot of friction between them. They are slowly adjusting to working together.

I like how they are adjusting to working with each other.

If I've got any of that wrong I'm sure somebody can correct it.
 
Thank you Colino.I was backwarRAB and forwarRAB from the television,so the concentration went a little awry. And like i said in a previous post, i'm getting old and too emotional and i've to got to make an appointment at Specsavers.

But he sounRAB uncannily like him.Or do i need to go to a ear doc as well?

I know what you mean, southland and the closer are great but get about 30,000 viewers on more 4 if they are lucky.:(

Yet crap like one tree hill or glee get over a million viewers.:confused:
 
Watched this last night. I'm not usually into cop shows, but this was amazing!

Although, Ben McKenzie. Great actor, but...

The O.C. - Didn't say a lot.

Southland - Doesn't say a lot (so far).

Ben McKenzie never says a lot, does he? :D

But then again, I find it all seems to be in a facial expression with him. One facial expression from Ben McKenzie reaRAB like ten pages of script.
 
Russell? He was shot at the end of the S1 finale when he went to check out an argument at a neighbour's house when he turned up at Sal's Memorial Day BBQ.

Don't know who Suarez is (not seen last night's ep) but 'Sucre' from Prison Break was her temp partner last eps I seen.
 
No, they changed her partner again and offered no plot explanation, you didn't miss an ep.

Amaury Nolasco AKA Detective Rene Cordero AKA that guy off Prison Break on sems to have been in 3 episodes. I notice he is a season regular in new cop show "Chase" starting this month so my bet is he quit.

Det. Ray Suarez as Det. Ray Suarez was listed in the summary as Lydia's "new partner" however according to IMDB he only appears in one ep so maybe he was just filling in when Nolasco dropped out?
 
That may be, but just remember that the version the US public got was heavily censored, both with extensive bleeps and cuts so I'm told.

I've always maintained, that due to America's retarded censorship laws quite a few decent shows have gone under due to viewer apathy.
 
Infact Southland was getting in the region of 250,000 viewers on More 4 and around 50,000 on More 4+1 which resulted in it regularly appearing in the channels Top 10. This hopefully means that they will show season 3
 
i'll certainly wait around for S3 - even though you have to wonder if it'll survive to a 4th season, what with the substantial budget cuts and cast reductions.

I'll only D/L it if it's absolutely certain More4 won't show it ..

In terms of budget cuts and cast redustions i too am a bit worried on how it will affect the programme but this is TNT we are talking about, they are a decent sized cable network and produce some popular shows like The Closer and Dark Blue. The latter i have just started watching and you'd never really know it has a lower budget than most network shows.
