Received confirmation from Channel 4 Viewer Enquiries that Southland will run straight into Season 2, which itself is only 6 episodes anyway. Good news!
Apparently NBC cancelled it before Season 2 even aired, but TNT stepped in and picked it up, screened it from S1E1, and has even confirmed a 3rd season.
I had started watching this, was 4 episodes in, when it was announced that More4 had bought the rights, so decided to do the legal thing & wait until it was shown over here.
Because it was so long ago, I am re-watching from the beginning & I had completely forgotten about the bleeps - I thought they were there intentionally to make it seem more like a documentary!
So glad i took a chance on this show as it's been fantastic. I just hope the budget cuts and cast reduction don't have too much of a negative effect on Season 3.
well this is from the TNT website itself - i don't know if it contains spoilers because I didn't look any further than the headline, so look at your own risk.
saw the 1st episode and wasnt that fussed about it.
then I watched all the episodes from then till now that i had stored up on my sky + over the weekend - really got into it and now cant wait for the next episode!
i dont mind too much that last week was the last one - i thought it was a great ep to end on.
loved the fact the nice lady cop caught the rapist
though i would of liked to of seen druggy cops reaction when he found out the woman he had been telling to quit had caught the baddie lol
Southland gets a good preview in today's Telegraph - they compare it favourably with The Wire, Hill St Blues and NYPD Blue which is high praise indeed.
