Episode 177 airs tonight at 10 PM Eastern on Comedy Central. Here is the synopsis:

Wow, 177 episodes huh! I stopped caring about this show a while ago but I got to give it up to SP, 200 is just a season away! Congratulations South Park!

Actually if the pattern of doing 14 episodes a season continues, then we'll only get the 200th episode in season 14, as this will go up to 181 and Season 13 will give us 195 eps so the 200th will be in the first part of season 14's run in Spring 2010 so mark your calendars for that.

Another factor of this ep is that secondary boy Craig is suppose to play a role in it. I just wonder how they're going to do another disease sort of episode since we seem to have had a lot of those latley (I mean even though I didn't have too much to do with last week's ep that one did have something to do with Breast Cancer and we've also had Aids and mentions of cancel as well this season so what will this one do different to stand out? Wait and see I guess.

Seeing how this is South Park, the "pandemic" will probably be metaphorical or something like that. I'd honestly be really suprised if they were referring to an actual disease. I'm personally guessing it's about the world's infatuation with pandas.

...
"Panda", "Pandemic"? I made a pun!

While I'd be interested in seeing Trey and Matt's views on the franchise, I doubt it.

And apparently, it's actually something completely different. For some reason, it's a pan flute band.

Can't believe all their working together on this one.

But now National Security is taking this as a global threat... Like the homeless swarm.

This tendency to take minor things like say, pan flute bands and turn it into a big drama movie parody is getting really old.

This episode just got really, really stupid.

And I haven't even seen a Peruvian Flute Band in real life. Honestly, this is probably the first time that I've actually heard about them.

Wow, for once a bystander is shot in this show and it's not made into an over the top gorefest. Usually in SP, a single shot leads to fleshy chunks. (A lot like fictional violence in general nowadays)

Craig points out the obvious.

"One of our friends was raped in Peru." I think we all know where this is going.....

Oh now we're suddenly into a Cloverfield parody.
