Episode 204: "It's a Jersey Thing"

A new episode airs tonight at 10 PM Eastern. Here is the synopsis:

They're really going after the Springsteen state hard. I've got a lot of relatives that live in Jersey, and they are absolutely nothing like that!

I live in North Jersey and nobody up here is like that. I know this meant as a parody of Jersey Shore but people from New Jersey are just not like this.

Aren't the Jersey Shore kids from New York anyway?

Yeah, the relatives I mentioned earlier (My mom was also B&R in Jersey) live in Northern New Jersey and absolutely nothing like that!

I'm from NYC, and I've always associated the "Jersey Shore" look more with Staten Islanders then people actually from New Jersey.

Well, I cannot believe they actually had Alqueda dive bomb with planes. That seemed a bit out there, but whatever, this is South Park. I cannot believe they actually showed a bit of the actual opening, but was laughing at Snookie, who I have only recently found out isn't fat.

Oh, the ending was the best by far.

"We got him"

Oh, thanks for the reminder. That means this was all in good spirit. As in, no one will take notice of what was said, except perhaps the actual people. But the executives won't take notice...

Again, I don't think one could find that funny, but a realization of the truth of Alqueda, that being their only way of actually attacking (if you can even call that funny)

While the episode still had to focus on the stereotypical idea of people from Jersey thanks to crappy reality shows, the episode was much better than I thought it would be. Yes, I felt it started slow (with concerns that it will be another "butt monkey Kyle" episode). However, Trey and Matt were still able to get a good laugh from me thanks to their depiction of Snooki and the very wrong "assistance" from Al Qaeda.
