South Park "200" Talkback (Spoilers)

Again, maybe all these relate to this next episode. Creative thinkers can connect them. But yeah, it was probably just for promotion, but when was the last time they had clips just for promotion?

That...was...awesome!

The celebrities, Muhammad, MechaStriesand, "Jennifer Lopez", the Gingers, Mr. Hat, Cartman's father...it was pretty much every continuity nod you could think of.

I'm guessing they'll do like Cartoon Wars: begin a Terrance and Philip episode, then move into the story proper.

If Robert Smith doesn't show up for a rematch, I'll be disappointed.

I enjoyed this episode more than I thought I would. Some pretty clever jokes here and there, and I like how they touched upon previous episodes. I do hope that they continue the plot with this for next week's episode, it was getting so good, that I didn't notice how much time has passed.

I loved it....Easily the best episode this season so far....

Tom Cruise is in denial yet again :D (of course,in true South Park style, they come up with something even more extreme than saying he's "in the closet")...and they also decide to rip on Tim Burton, who hasn't been made fun of yet...
I've been a fan of the series from the beginning, and the sheer amount of references to past episodes was amazing (I'm going to have to watch it again, since I'm sure I missed some)...My favorites being the return of Cartman's "Jennifer Lopez aka Mitch Connor" hand puppet, as well as Mr. Hat,and Mecha Streisand...
Also loved that they pointed out that they've showed Mohammed before (in the "Super Best Friends" episode),but they can't now...
and Cartman's hand puppet reveals that his mother ISN'T his father,as we were lead to believe at the end of the two parter about her early in the series...Hopefully,they give an actual father this time around (I'm not expecting them to,knowing Matt and Trey ;)...Heck,I fully expect them to do a Terrance and Phillip show next week)....

Awesome episode next to the Facebook episode starting another epic 2-parter like Pandemic & the Imaginationland Trilogy & cool that South Park is to its 200th episode, yaaaay:D!!!!!

The highlights:
Kyle bashing Eric is always classic, hehehe.
Poor Stan accidently insulting Tom Cruise again was funny, hehehe.
Tom Cruise the jerkhole & all the celebrities wanting to sue South Park, uh-oh.
By noticing alot of the celebrities, it's nice to see the returns of Steve the Crocodile Hunter, Sally Struthers(Eric's female counterpart, hahahaha:p), Phil Collins, Jared, Russell Crowe, Rob Reiner(who's resurrected, hehehe), Al Gore(YESS), Jesse Jackson, Jimmy Buffet, Mickey Mouse, Kanye West, & Tiger Woods.
Cool that Tim Burton is there.
Interesting that Sally doesn't have the Jabba the Hutt form, hehehe.
Jared finding alot of closets was funny.
Tom Cruise & the celebrities wanting Mohammad in South Park, uh-oh, another Mohammad plot.
Randy's Mohammad stick figure picture, hahahaha.
Eric's Jennifer Lopez hand puppet is back , yes, who's hilarious, hehehe.
The Hall of Justice reference from The Superfriends was great.
Nice to see the returns of the Super Best Friends.
The Censored Mohammad part was funny.
The Seaman joke rocks, hahahaha.
Stan/Kyle asking the Super Best Friends to get Mohammad to South Park.
Moses is back, yaaaay, I love his glowing design.
Eric being greedy wanting the lawsuit money.
Uh-oh, Mitch Connor is back, sweet!!!!
Mohammad can't be seen so they use a bear costume to cover him up, hahahaha.
I love the Ginger Kids which they're back becoming insane psychopathic extremists wanting Mohammad:evil:, awesome
Yikes, Mitch knows about Eric's father, cool!!!!
Tom Cruise's temper tantrum fits were hilarious which he's such a big baby, hahahahaha.
Nice to see Mecha Barbera Streisand who looks terrifying/awesome with the new cool 3-D style look:eek::evil:!!!!!
The random Japanese music plays during the Mecha Barbera Streisand scene, hahahaha.
Mr.Hat is back who knows about Eric's father, yikes!!!!!
What an great/intense cliffhanger with South Park about to be doomed!!!!!
No "To Be Continued" at the end, weird.
I can't wait for part 2 next Wednesday!!!!!

After seeing the epic 2-parter, it's very awesome to see alot of one-shot character cameos playing their major roles, wooooow.

Absolutely brilliant. The bush load of cameos and characters from the past as well as continuity and questions from previous seasons is nothing short of amazing, a true episode for SP fans.

I just know, like many of you, that there will be some sort of curve ball thrown in the next episode, provided this is a two-parter. I didn't see a "To Be Continued", making me wonder if that IS the curve ball, ending it in a cliffhanger with the next episode dealing with a completely different subject. God, I hope not, because "200" got my attention very well.

Also, I will be disappointed if the Crab people doesn't make one appearance next episode.

I'm surprised then they didn't appeared yet and let's add Santa Claus even if it's too early for Christmas

And let's not forget "Darth Chef" ;)

This was awesome. I've now seen 200 episodes of South Park, lol.

Man I loved the references to earlier episodes!!!! And when Mecha-Streishand returned, I was thinking, "holy s**t". I loved the line referencing how different she was. BEAUTIFUL CG work on Barbara.

I will luahg if next week is Terrance & Phillip. More great callbacks to earlier episodes.

Loved Mr. Hat returning, and all the celebraties. I wonder who Cartman's father really is?

DAMN I'm excited for next week, The DT Movie, hopefully part 2 of this, although if Terrance and Phillip I'll be fine too, wow.

Thank you Matt & Trey for a great 200th with lots of excellent series callbacks.

And to tell you the truth, I was scared s**t thinking they might show Muhammid. I was all like: "South Park is gonna kill us all!" ;)

I hope for 200 Part 2 next week if Comedy Central doesn't wuss out so I can see what happens at the end and not another repeat of what happened at the end of "Cartoon Wars" in 2006.

I sure liked the 1973 Superfriends opening spoof for the Super Best Friends - The South Park guys still can't get Seaman's name pronounced right.

Wow, that was something. I never made the connection between "Mr. Hat" and "Hennifer Lopess" before -- two hand puppets with a mind of their own. I think my favorite scene was the one where Cartman's hand was being placed in the scene the same way an entirely separate character would be, even when it meant contorting his arm in impossible ways. And then there was the "Release the ***en" line, which... wow. It takes a lot for South Park to do a surprisingly offensive joke at this point, but that was one of them. But they know how to make it work. (It helps that that particular racial slur doesn't have nearly as much history behind it as other ones, such as the N-word... which, I'm sure they know, is really the only way they could possibly get away with something like this.)

My instincts tell me that this will be at least a two-parter, not just because of the incomplete plot (it wouldn't be the first time they abandoned a plot for laughs), but because there's so much ground left to cover. They've already put so much work into bringing back past elements of the series for an epic 200th episode -- why not go even further? There's enough material for at least one more part to this.

Somehow I hope that Cartman's real father is Kyle's dad. It makes perfect sense (on a karmic level) considering how Cartman always rags on Kyle for being Jewish only to find out that he's Jewish himself. Also, Cartman's kidney was the only one that matched with Kyle's, when Kyle needed a transplant (in the "Cherokee Hair Tampons" episode).

Wow, Barbara Streisand looks like she's had quite a makeover since she was last seen. I really liked this episode. When it got to be about 2 minutes left in the episode, it was obvious that a 1/2 hour wasn't gonna be enough to tell this full story.

I guess he-reused him on Season 6 because I recall Mr Garrison not using Mr Hat on the 4th grade premiere episode and the rest of it.

Darth Chef wasn't voiced by Issac Hayes. He didn't return from the grave to say "No I mean my balls!"

Unless you mean they don't want to tarnish his memory, then I can understand that.

This was a VERY strong episode that had a bunch of continuity.

Easily my favorite of the season. I especially liked that Jennifer Lopez and Mr. Hat were back. Also More info possible about Cartman's father. His mom can't be since hermaphrodites are infertal. What does that mean for Mrs. Cartman? Is she really Eric's father/mother?

No "To be continued" has be a bit worried. Maybe there will not be a part 2...

It would be just like South Park to reel us in then cut us loose at the last second.

He wasn't even dead at the time; he quit the show due to the Tom Cruise/scientology episode. Voice clips of him throughout the show were re-used for Chef in the episode until the Darth Chef scene, in which a new voice was used.
