Hello,
I have been trying to get a new sound system in my truck (2005 Ford Excursion for anyone wondering) for a little while now and I have the new Alpine IVA-W505 for my head unit and 2 12" Alpine Type-R subs as of this moment however my old crap crunch amp blew and now I am looking at JBL and Infinity car products for amps and speakers and wanted a couple opinions. First of all I am wondering the overall quality of JBL amps and then was wondering about Infinity Kappa Perfect 6.1 speakers. My moms 300C has the infinity sound system and it sounds like there are subs in the front doors which I would love in my truck however in my experience nothing branded infinity for door speakers has had any ability to reproduce bass. I was originally going to stick with Alpine all the way around however I remembered that my brother has an HP discount for infinity and jbl car audio products and decided for brand new factory direct (including warranty) products with over a 50% price cut from retail it would be stupid to not go with infinity or JBL. Any suggestions for my sound system are greatly appreciated. Anything JBL or Infinity you can recommend cramming in that truck please let me know. I plan to get JBL's 1500 watt amp and powering my Alpines with it for now then eventually adding 2 12" Plus One JBL subs.
