That type of thing is hard to pinpoint. All three played the part with a different style, I guess, than any of the others. Obviously, when it came to the singing and dancing, Julie is sooooooooo the best lol: You should have seen our Captain try to do the Landlear the first few times... the Marias weren't much better at first...) but when it comes to actually playing the part and what they brought to it, it was just different. It's hard to explai in depth unless you see it for yourself.
This is one of my favorite movies of all time. It was my mom's favorite. She had the tapes and she'd let my sister and I watch it whenever we wanted. I think we wore them out and she had to get new tapes. Thank heavens for DVDs!
I love it so much, I have several DVD versions of it. The last one I bought was the 20th Anniversary edition. It had interviews with Julie and the actors who played the 7 children. I can't believe most of them are grandparents now. I still think of them as kids even though I know the movie was made decades before I was born.
i hate people who would do that...u know, asking you what just happened, sometimes, why it happened...and they dont realize that that you're watching it for the first time, too.. :goof:
