sony xplod stuff why is it bad?

How to spot an idiot:

"some say they can take 1200 watts but if you hook an amp dat size it will blow the speaker." - who says?


"the magnets are to small to handle dat much power." - Since when do magnets handle power?


"my friend bought 2 12" sony xplods and he blew them and bought a second pair and blew them he didnt have them over powered or notin." - probably never heard of the gain.

"you cant get good quality kicker stuff from walmart. you can only get the cheap subs and stuff!!!" - He knows, he works there.


To tell you the truth it's all about hearsay. Someone has a bad experience and then suddenly that's a bad brand. Happens all the time.

My Sont amp pounds as hard as the day I installed it AND it's parts are made from the same manufacturer as what you would find in an MTX, Alpine, etc. - Fairchild, Motorola, NEC, etc.

I know, I repair amps.
 
Does someone want to tell me why sony xplod stuff is bad. Most the people sayin this are complete idiots because they probably dont even have a clue what a car audio system is and all these people that tell me that just because they are cea-2006 compliant doesn't mean they are good are full of crap. That means they aren't telling you a blatant lie like legacy and pyle. I have these subs and my cousin had them before me and they still sound like the day he took them out of the box.

The subs sound just as good if not better than brands like kenwood, MTX, and alpine. You guys probably just think that they are crap because you can buy them at walmart. NEWS FLASH: i can go to my local walmart and buy kicker stuff too.

I just want to know why they suck and was wondering if someone would help me shed some light on this. Thanks for reading me rant on and on but please just answer.

Simply put
its cheap components that usually dont last all that long the options/component options they give arent innovative and are just boring
their xplode subwoofers hex design is simply a bad sounstage with nothing more to offer... its a "cool" design that takes away from the quality of the music ...at least kicker l5... the square has more cone to it...
The quality of the sound is low
The quality of the component itself is low
sony just doesnt make quality sound products

dude, i love sony stuff. my dad and i are planning on getting the big speakers later on and just bought the deck and 4 smaller speakers...THEY sound Great.
