Songs that hit the perfect climax

I have to admit to liking that Dixie Chicks track a lot.

It climaxes a little early maybe but who cares? It still blows my mind every single time I hear this beauty:

Chick Corea played with Miles Davis? So that makes like...everyone that's ever done jazz fusion. Huh.

Personal favorite is off Meddle, probably the last ~6 minutes of Echoes, where Gilmour slowly draws in the guitar amiRABt the backwash of the key line. BuilRAB steam until it collapses upon itself and the vocals explode into harmonious clarity.

Sometime Around Midnight By The Airborne Toxic Event
"when your frienRAB say what is it, you've looked like you've seen a ghost.....then you walk under the street lights and your too drunk to notice that everyone is starring at you, you dont care what you look like the world is falling around you, you just have to see her your just have see her you just have to see her you just have to see her you know that she'll break you in two"

i absoulutly love it, i feel like screaming the worRAB out in the pouring rain.

Rock N' Roll Suicide-Bowie
When Bowie sings that last 'Oh give my our hanRAB!' it senRAB shivers up my spine.

Hallelujah-Cohen's version:
The last line, 'And even though it all went wrong I'll stand before the Lord Of Song with nothing on my tongue but Hallelujah', really makes the song for me.

Retrovetigo-Mr. Bungle
Starts out slow, builRAB a little, goes back down, builRAB a little more, goes back down...Then explodes...Every famine virtual, Retrovertigo.

Eulogy-Patrick Wolf
Starts out as a peaceful last goodbye to a friend, depicting his journey to whatever lies beyond life, then suddenly turns into wailing lament as they go 'over the edge, the edge of the world'.

No doubt: "El tango de roxanne" by Ewan McGregor ("Moulin Rouge" film)....
Simply powerful!
Enjoy it!

P.S.:Suggestion: Pump the volume up, absolutely!

Against the Wind - Bob Seger:

one line i love --"Wish I didn't know now what I didn't know then" and another line that gets to me is "living to run and running to live, never worry bout payin or even how much i owe"

Red Headed Stranger - Willie Nelson

there are so many great goosebump moments in this song, but---"he cried like a baby, screamed like a panther in the middle of the night. so he saddled his pony, and he went for a ride"

Gypsy Eyes

the whole song hit me hard but this is my favorite

"Way up in my tree Im sitting by my fire
Wondrin where in this world might you be
And knowin all the time youre still roamin in the country side
Do you still think about me?
Oh my gypsy"

What Is and What Should Never Be - Led Zeppelin

"and if i say to you tomorrow, take my hand, child, come with me- to a castle i will take you, and whats to be they say will be...."

last one is Gold Dust Woman - Fleetwood Mac

"Rock on gold dust woman, take you silver spoon, an dig your grave"
and
"ancient queen, follow those who pale in your shadow"

-----and by the way, i also love HARD SUN - EDDIE VEDDER. i listen to it everyday when im riding the bus to school because the sun is just coming up then and the song sound so much better then, you know

Yes. I wish I had been a bit more creative for this site but its what I tend to use for most accounts.

And good :) I dont know how much Buckley you have heard other than Grace but theres 2 or 3 tracks on MWB that show his harder, rockier material. Hopefully the direction he would have ended up taking. Plus the medley of Hallelujah with I Know Its Over by The Smiths is pretty good.
