I thank you all for your support and input. To those that offered workarounds like, double knots and Velcro; I thank you for your field engineering savvy. However my Point is to express my outrage that we as an industrial and technological society have overcome the issue with "Shoelace auto-disengagement". Why is it then that some shoelaces are still produced to allow them to become Prematurely untied?
I, as a consumer should not have to double knot or switch to Velcro as my only means to avoid tripping on my own shoe laces. That being the case, do I have ample evidence to prove negligence should I sue the manufacturer for injuries sustained in a trip related incident?
