You're right, they are like little kids in a playground.

Why don't you go lobby the government to make it a law that all kids must share their toys?

I'm just saying... no business regulations. The businesses there have free range to do whatever the heck they please. That seems to be what all the arguments against the civil rights act are about.

I suppose in the course of human history, if any of that were actually possible, it would have happened. That's probably why governments form: It is human nautre for them to occur. Governments by their very nature (in keeping with human nature) tend to want to dominate, side with big business, etc.

It's not about the effectiveness of the peacekeepers as nationbuilders. It's their involvement with organized crime and local business and what they can do to a foreign entrepreneur. Someone with enough money could hire EO or another outfit to clean house, and they could send the peacekeepers packing. The problem is that dead peacekeepers are no longer UN troops. They're German, Canadian, or whatever, and your ass is grass.

No, we must start up businesses there where we get to refuse service for any reason we choose, primarily because of our own prejudices.

I don't see that Somali government is capable of protecting the rights of its citizens. But economically, sounds like they're on the right track.
 
yes. we will start up a business in somalia and refuse to provide services for black people. luckily without the pesky government there to regulate us, we can stay in business for as long as we'd like without any problems. i foresee a flawless victory.
