By "perverse sex", I'm talking slash, pedophilia, bestiality, incest, what have you.
My point: too many fanfic writers rely on cheap shock tactics such as the main characters getting killed, indulging in taboo sexual practices, falling into a deep, suicidal depression or getting hooked on an illegal substance as a substitute for actual plot and character development. A badifc writers' idea of drama is having a main character die a gruesome death and then have the rest of the cast go insane with grief over it. There are other ways to set up a compelling story besides just cheap, sensationalism and angst. Anyone who needs to resort to shock tactics such as rape, murder and kinky sex to tell a story in a kids' cartoon, then I have to question that persons' ability as a writer. I pity the TV exec who looks to fan fiction as a way around a writers' strike.
I can (kind of) see how you could say that Drawn Together, but how is South Park fanfiction? The characters are original, not part of anyone else's show, and except for the odd cameo, they don't interact with characters from any other show. At least no more than any other animated series.
