So PS2 and PS3 dont charge for online play yet Xbox and 360 do???

If sony ever gets anywhere near what xboxlive offers, I'm sure they'll charge for it. But they have a looong way to go.

You make it sound like XBL offers some online blowjob or something.

Truth be told, they offer almost the same thing. XBL has a very streamlined system where one window takes you through a bunch of stuff. PS3, you go to an empty store.

i dunno. i just like the way live is. id rather have live then rely on the developers to back the online play *cough* EA servers suck *cough*

The PS2's online service was just completely half-assed. A total afterthought. It was free...and I still didn't use it. With the PS3, Sony seems to have a better grasp on things, but it's still in the works. They allow each game company to handle the online features of their games (much like on the PS2), it's not a unified system like Xbox Live....which is why it's free. Either way....Sony has a gigantic hill to climb if they ever hope to be on par with Live, feature-to-feature.

Its true though. XBL offer quality and quantity. Sony's online store has neither.

But there's supposed to be a HUGE update in March. Hopefully, my system doesn't become a brick by then.
