So does PS3 suck as much as everyone said it would?

It does indeed currently SUCK. It will get better with some good games to complement it and some software fixes to the system hopefully.
 
Give it a year or two and it will kick some major ass. High-end computer games will be far ahead of it by then in terms of eye candy, but the PS3 and X360 have the advantage of gameplay and the much larger amount of good games.
 
Man with everything they promised I've been pretty disappointed after everything I hear about them... especially with the NYTimes article
 
Because someone else's experience should eclipse your own.

If you have a friend with one, borrow it for a night. Immerse yourself. And hate on the blue gayness of the playstation store.



But I enjoy mine.
 
i'ma wait close to a year. or at least until they have around 10 games that have ratings of 9 out of 10 (resistance- fall of man isn't even getting 9's everywhere). by that time they'll have all the kinks worked out and it might be worth the 600 bones (hopefully the games will start looking as good/better than the 360 by then). it's not worth getting for just one or two games until then, imo
 
i really want one, bad, but i do not want to pay $600 for one. im gonna wait til theres a price drop, and some better games.
 
if only they had a controller that had tilt sensing AND the rumble feature.
