Its been a while, but we have a new FOX animated series making its world television premiere tonight. Created by Mitch Hurwitz(Arrested Development), its based off a live-action Australian sitcom. However, aside from a couple things, its a different show. Originally, it was pitched as a live-action show. After a couple failed attempts, Hurwitz changed it to be animated. The show is unique in the sense that the backgrounds are live-action while the animated characters are set against it. Will the show do well? Tune in tonight at 8:30 PM Eastern to watch. Gah. The characters are shallow, the animation is cheap, and everyone's just unlikeable. I'm passing after this.

Of course, it will probably inexplicably popular.

I'm feeling a definite "Arrested Development" vibe coming from the show, so far it's been pretty good.

I'm kinda scared that Fox will banish this show because it strays from the nuclear family status quo, but hoping they won't. I feel this would flourish more on AS.
