OK - is that enough?
I saw this last night, my girlfriend had rented it. I wasn't too bothered about seeing it as we had both had it spoiled by someone who said "Oh its not what you think its about, its about religion" Which led us to think that the crop circles were to do with god, that it wasn't an alien film and after lots of wondering about the circles you end up with a big religous ending. My girlfriend said after that when the lights came she was expecting these to be angels.
To be honest the film was spoilt by somebody telling us it was about religion cause we kept looking for signs (excuse the pun!) of that and whilst there was a sub-story about faith it wasn't predominant and the film was actually an alien film.
You could take the faith part as major if you want or as a sub-plot as it was done very subtle.
Overall it was a good film but I thought it started very slowly and had a poor ending - picked up in the middle though.
The water all over was obviously going to be significant - did anyone spot when they were watching the news of the circles throughout the world that one was from Wakefield, England? Bet the aliens didn't stop around long here with all the rain!
I was disappointed with the ending as we never really found out why the aliens had come, said they were "farming" humans but why? Why did water harm them when it is the source of all life?
The film just left too many unanswered questions for my liking.
