"Shrek Forever After" Pre-Release Discussion (Spoilers)

I lol'd when that one witch slammed into that tree.

Is it just me, or does the bad guy in this one sound like Tom Kenny?:D

The 3rd Shrek was kinda "meh" for me also... it didn't seem as "exciting" as the first two... but this one looks like it could make up for that. It's nice to see all the voice actors reprise their roles also, I was a bit disappointed that Red and Kirk from the Hoodwinked 2 movie had theirs changed (I though Hathaway did a good job with Red's voice).

Well, after that trailer, it definitely looks like a step-up from Shrek the Third. Still, I can't shake the feeling that this "what-if" storyline seems highly unnecessary, but if they felt this would make a better ending than the last movie, then more power to them.

Gotta admit, the visuals in this film look really good. The environments look really detailed, even for the sections that look like a total wasteland. That opening scene in the carriage alone is very nice to look at.

So who's the dwarf guy supposed to be anyway?

this looks much better than I expected, and we get to see more Ogres, that is always a good thing. And we finally see what the ear horns can do, after three movies LOL. As long as this one does not turn into a gimmicky 3D (I do not think it has a 3D version) movie, I will go out to see it.

Looks great, if you ask me. The third film was definitely a step down, but I think the whole "what if" storyline has a whole bunch of potential for interesting new material. I'm looking forward to it, myself.

Rumpelstiltskin, I believe.

The trailer had a coming to Real D 3D and Imax 3D near the end of it, so a 3D version is going to happen.

As for my thoughts on the trailer, I think it's better than Shrek the Third, I'll most likely see it theaters to keep up the tradition of me seeing every Shrek movie in theaters. I liked the gag with the Witches, the ear horns, Gingerbread man and Donkey. Though the end part was kind of nasty if you think about it.

The new trailer looked pretty amusing, especially the last gag...but then, I stumbled on this bit of news:

I don't care how this makes me sound, but this could be a dealbreaker for me. I have yet to pay money for a movie with Megan Fox in it and a man without principles is a man with nothing.

If the Tower Princess is a total snob, it wouldn't suprise me then... :p Isn't she the Rapunzel chick in the 3rd movie, or is this somebody different?

Wait, hold on.... they're talking about Fiona, right? I'm confused...

Fox is about as sexually appealing as Angelina Jolie...which is to say, not very. Both actresses always look like they haven't had a shower in at least a week, and their faces are not classically "pretty" IMO.

Probably a good move to have someone on the animation crew voice the villain, given how Pixar has a couple of its memorable characters voiced by key members of the film's staff (i. e. Emperor Zurg in Toy Story 2, Edna Mode in The Incredibles).
