The teaser trailer for Shrek Forver After, which is supposed to be the last movie in the series, can be watched here.

So, what do you think? I loved the first 2 movies, but didn't care for the third, so I don't have high expectations for this. But I have to admit the story sounds more interesting than the 3rd movie, and I laughed at fat Puss in Boots.

This could be good. The problem with Shrek the Third (though it was still good) was that it didn't focus on the fairy tales enough, and that's what Shrek is known for. If I'm right, this is some kind of massive "What If?" story, and could be fun to see all the fairy tales in a massive "What If?" Then again, that's kind of what Shrek has been since the beginning anyway, so....
Could go either way.

Wow, that looked pretty good. :anime:
I hope it's better than part 3.

So far the second installment is my favorite.
I'm looking forward to this.

My favorite part was fat Puss N' Boots.
"Ah... I'll get him later"

I might see this. This is hopefully the last Shrek (not that I hate Shrek or anything, its just that the sequels need to stop) judging by the tagline.

Wow a little too late for their old fan base most kids I know that quoted every piece of it are about 12 or 14 now. They shouldn't have waited so long.

Just because a majority of the old fan base have grown into the teenage years doesn't mean they still can't enjoy it.

Hell, I'm 16 and I am looking forward to this. The same case with the announcement of Toy Story 3.

Good news: the teaser isn't cringe-inducingly bad as Shrek the Third.
Bad news: besides the actual idea of fat Puss on Boots (which is only funny to me for personal reasons), none of it made me laugh. Period.

This might be the year for Pixar to trump Shrek. Shrek the Third left a bad taste in audiences' mouths, but everyone wants to see Toy Story 3. I'm really hoping...

Personally, I felt Shrek the Third was...empty, like none of the heart of the original two were there. If I had paid to see the movie myself, I would've left the theater in boredom.

I was initially against seeing this because of the whole Shrek 5 movie, but if this is the "final chapter", I will see it and treat it as such. So if the fifth film does come out, I'll just ignore it and let the franchise fade away from my mind.

You could make that case about ANY family film, whether it be Old Dogs or Up, kids will like anything, so much so that it's only up to parents' discretion on what they want to sit through, unless it's something the kid really wants to see. A lot of parents I know hated "Shrek the Third" a lot, and their kids were more than bored during it. Don't forget that a large part of Shrek's box office factor comes from older viewers who also detested the third film as well. Heck, IIRC, the Cinema Score rating was a C!

You simply can't ignore the fact that Shrek the Third, despite its box office earnings, was not well-liked...

So far the Shrek franchise is 2 out of 3. That's not bad. So, I don't see why people are suddenly gonna give up on the franchise over one bad movie.
