Shows that You Want to be Put Out of their Misery

The title says it all. There are many people who think that various shows have jumped the shark. I, for one, want Spongebob dead. NOW!

The Simpsons - It's been 20 years. Enough is enough.

Spongebob - The show lost most of its creativity after the movie.

Aqua Teen Hunger Force - That recent episode where Shake was microwaving cats was when I realized that the show was running out of ideas. I know that Shake is supposed to be mean and feel no empathy, but does he have to be sociopathic?

Family Guy - Unless tomorrow's episode can get the show back on track, I'm done with Family Guy. I used to love the show, but now it just feels too crude and juvenile for me.

Fairly Oddparents. It's rabid, but people are still treating it like the harmless family pet. It needs to be put down as soon as two years ago.

I'm on the fence about "The Simpsons". There are times when I just want to go "Geez, how much more are we going to get?" (I hear the voice actors have been signed through Season 24), but then there are also occasions where I find myself able to appreciate the modern episodes for what they are, even if I know they'll never be as good as the first eight seasons were.

As for "Family Guy", I hate it, but I don't think it deserves cancellation - I think it deserves an overhaul in its writing staff. The show has loads of untapped potential that it's content to waste on the same agonizingly unfunny antics that we've come to expect from it. Some new blood behind the word processors might be just what the show needs to get back on track.

Family Guy - the show just annoys me now with everything it does. I don't laugh anymore when I see it. I clench my teeth.

Spongebob Squarepants - what started out as a charming and somewhat funny show has gone straight down the tubes. The heart is gone. Kill it.

Pokemon - Diamond and Pearl is actually the best arc since the original, and that's why I want it ended. Let it end on a high note before going downhill again. Let Ash win it all. I know it won't happen but I sure would like for it too.

The Simpsons - I'm on the fence with this one. I have this sick desire to see it keep going on and on and on. I know most of the quality is gone, but it's like that Seinfeld episode where Kramer keeps driving the car with the needle at E and keeps going to see how far below the E it can go. I just want to see how far it can possibly go before it finally grinds to a halt. It's a bad attitude to have, I know. Well there's also still the occasional funny episode in between there.

Dear GOD... :(

The movie aside, The Simpsons has been coasting on fumes for the better part of a FULL DECADE. You've made your billions in syndication dollars, Fox, so it's long past time to put the family out to pasture.

Family Guy needs to go, the show is pointless now. Sure the Simpsons and KotH don't have the same spark that they use to, but they are better than most of what's on TV lately, Family Guy's in that majority.

Anything AC! has made recently beside Kappa Mikey.

I was so disgusted by that episode that now I refuse to watch any post-movie episodes of ATHF.

As for The Simpsons...the way I see it, the series probably won't end until one of the absolutely irreplaceable voice actors dies.

Family Guy needs to get back on track. That means less Stewie and Brian plots, more lightheartedness, less senseless gorey violence, less sex jokes, less religious jokes and less racial jokes.

So this is a bash Family Guy and Spongebiob thread? Nice.

Anyway, I agree with The Simpsons. All good things need to end sometime, and The Simpsons is definitely one of them.

Substance please?

What's the point of a thread like this if people are just going to post stuff like "Spongebob must die!" without even an explanation?

I have not enjoyed the Simpsons since Maggoe shot Mr. Burnes and even at that period I found it lacking. I have grown to hate it and refuse to see the movie. I never got the obsession with the simpsons, I never found them funny and the only reason why I watched then every night back then is because it was on right after Married With Children.
