Shows that You Want to be Put Out of their Misery

A fact that everyone here seems to be ignoring is that no one is forcing you to sit through any of these shows. If there's a show out there that you don't like, then simply don't watch it. I don't get what spewing a bunch of bile about certain shows and wishing for the deaths of fictional characters who aren't alive in the first place is supposed to accomplish. Especially since many posters here aren't even bothering to explain why they want these shows put down.

If the people who make the cartoon still enjoy doing it, I don't think it should end. There's still millions of people who watch and enjoy The Simpsons and Family Guy. Spongebob too.

Exactly. But a lot of people don't feel that way. They don't it like and thus it naturally needs to end because they can't possibly understand why someone else would like it.

Again, the only show that I think really needs to end is The Simpsons. Now I love The Simpsons but I just think it's time to let this show go. All good things need to come to an end and I personally think the show is staying on the air for the sole purpose of breaking television records.

The Simpsons just needs to end, I love the show but I've stopped watching the new episodes several years ago. The show is only doing it for money, the characters are just former shells of themselves, and its lost most of its heart.

Simpsons -This is an alright show but it definatly needs to end. They have plenty enough episodes to keep me satisfied.

Spongebob -I think that this show has been on long enough and has gone stale five years ago.

QFT.

While I think The Simpsons has ran it's course ages ago, I could possibly understand if it still has it's fair share of supporters that want it to continue. Same can be said for Family Guy and even Fairly Odd Parents. If a show's still on the air, it must still be marketable to some sanction of it's fanbase, even if you and I don't like it.

Quoted for truth. I completely agree with you.

I can understand why people are tired of some on-going shows, but if you don't like it, then you don't have to watch it. It's as simple as that. I don't watch The Simpsons or Family Guy, so I can't comment on those. I thought that Fairly Odd Parents just had one more season, but I'm not completely sure. As for Pokemon, I'm still loving that show, obviously, so I don't want that to end anytime soon. Besides that, it still has good ratings in both the U.S. and Japan. Since Platinum sold like a million copies in three days after its release in Japan and the anime series is basically advertising those games, I doubt that its going to go anywhere anytime soon.

You're entitled to your opinion and all in wishing the show won't end soon, but honestly, I DO. To say that Pokemon has jumped the shark since Johto and continuing onward is almost an understatement. With a few exceptions, damn near every episode follows the same pathetically boring formula and damn near all of the characters have lost any and all charm they had in the past, Ash being the worst offender, having become one of the most dull and dislikeable main characters out there.

And as you said, the series is just advertising games and toys. The freaking director of the show confirmed this. I prefer shows that actually care about themselves, their stories, and their characters, rather than bores like this.
