Thats pretty much what I was trying to say. There is a dealer here who hosts a Monday night sportbike ride for "people of all riding abilities". Well, I have gone on a few, and they are NOT for ppl of all riding abilities. 95% of the people on the ride are Icon-wearing stunter types (or punk kids who think they know how to race and have never been to a track) who just mess around, not considering the safety of others. I won;t go on any more of their rides because I really don't want to ride alongside or behind people who are more concerned with how high their wheelie is than their safety or the safetly of the people around them. Those are the people I avoid. I would much rather ride with a few friends who I KNOW are safe riders, who all look out for each other, and don

My kinda girl...I am so in tune with your way of thinking that it is like I was reading something I would have wrote

Cheers

Hence why our insurance are so damn high these days. Not that all icon wearers are that way, but a lot of icon gear is geared towards that way and it attracts a lot of those type of people. We definitely are in generation Icon in regards to riding these days. It's almost become a fad where a lot of new young riders get into the "sport" and push the limit and think they are really "good" at what they do. Good on them but not for me. I think I've grown up a little. Luckily for us Ducati insurance is by far so much cheaper.

I don't think you sound like a bitch because I think that the majority of ducati owner's have some where along the same mentality. We all like to ride as fast as possible but are pretty safe and smart for the most part because I don't think any one of us ever want to pay to repair $14K 16K 21K etc etc to repair our bike. More importantly than the money though, we all have grown attached to our bikes. Ducati's are just something you fall in love with. What other bike do you ever just stand there and look at it and admire it when you get off of or are about to hop on for a ride or are just hanging out there talking with other people about bikes. You just look at your bike in amazement as if you had just gotten it for the first time. I still feel that way about my bike, never felt that way about any of my other bikes that wasn't a ducati.

Ok, that was too much rambling. Sorry

HIGH FIVE to that!!!!(And no, I don't want to put everybody who wears Icon in that category, it's just my hasty generalization and way of summing up that type of person).

HIGH FIVE #2!!
