Right now, since those boxes are empty, they actually sit on at the bottom of the shelves, I just put them up there to take a picture of them. The shelves I have aren't conducive for efficient boxset usage, so they sit empty. I've been thinking of building some DVD's shelves without those annoying middle boards that you see my shelves have.

Great! You can consider my advice if you need extra shelf space (without building or buying more). :D

I'm considering getting one big shelf (they have one at AAFES on McChord), but I really don't have space to put it at, yet.

wow you guys spend so much money on that stuff. I guess when you have a job the skie's the limit :(
Actually, all the stuff I got was with years of saving my allowances, not using food money, birthday, Christmas, and debt money (owed to me, that is :P).

If I had a job, I'd have better shelves than the crap I have now. If you take a DVD out the wrong way, the whole thing starts leaning ;_;.

To host pics.

Try and get my collection "organized" still doing a ton of Spring Cleaning (i.e., trading not wanted Anime stuff for credit at Gamestop.)

Uh, IanC why do your .hack\\Sign dvds look like bootlegs?

Why do they look like bootlegs? They're the legitimate releases. If they were bootlegs, they'd only be in one package, plus I recognise the spines.

Kruszer, what is the box set next to Gundam seed and ?Noir?

I'll try to get a picture up soon...of my tiny collection...

I got a Peacemaker Kurogane boxset, but the side of the box was bent, so trying to straighten it out winds up tearing it in a corner on the bottom.

I got it from BestBuy. When I checked on the 27th of May (when I started that other thread about how I thought that BestBuy might not be selling anime anymore, and I saw that they were selling the boxsets for $6.99), they had 3 boxsets, and I unfortunately wound up getting the slightly damaged one when I got mine yesterday on the 1st of June.

I found something (this is accessable only through AAFES's website - http://aafes.homevisions.com ) that holds 1520 CDs, 680 DVDs, or 340 video tapes. Its $300 though.

Crap... didn't know the picture was that big.

My room is too much of a mess to keep my DVDs anywhere other than its rack/shelf. Which reminds me that I have to buy another one for the rest of my DVDs and Mangas.

Holy smokes! You folks have more anime on your shelves then my local video stores and many of the local shops that sell DVDs. Do you buy a lot of stuff online?

I get almost all of my anime online. I only buy at B&M stores when they run big sales.

People wanted to see some collection pictures from AnimeonDVD.com... here's a link to a thread about them:

It's a Limited Edition collector's box. You can get it if you find the Vol.1 that has it, though it's becoming harder and harder to find. Each volume also has a Limited Edition slipcase version. I got the box and all 8 volumes with the LE slipcases from eBay for $185. Yeah, expensive, but it's currently my #3 favorite series of all-time, and I appreciate every dollar I spent on it ^w^.

imagine four of these. 3 full and one half full. (i move alot) one of them does contain mostly other than anime movies, but the rest are all anime...

oh, and i do keep the cases. they are just in storage.

Regretfully I don't have a camera to take a picture of my anime DVD collection, but it's probably slightly larger than Crion's top three rows of shelves (i.e. somewhere north of 250 DVDs).

And yes, I have a job, and yes, a significant chunk of my discretionary spending each month goes to anime.

And yes, I also go strictly in alphabetical order except for the Ah!/Oh! My Goddess! thing. The upside is that you always know exactly where any given DVD is, the downside is that you have to adjust your shelves on a regular basis to make room for the new stuff.

Where do you guys live? (As I put on a black mask and take out my trusty crowbar) Those collections are impressive, especially the amount of limited edition collectors boxs. My collection is getting there but nowhere near that magnitude. Since you mentioned most of them only have one DVD in them you sound like one of those people that get screwed because you want the boxes but since there limited edition you have to buy them right away, even before you finish another series.

I need a digital camera

I don't buy single DVD boxsets. I will only buy a boxset if it contains all the DVD's, and in the case with Robotech, I will buy two different versions. Robotech Legacy for the extras and Robotech Remastered for the remastered video and 5.1 audio.

Also, I noticed some of your are saving your images as a bitmap (bmp) image, please go back and save these images as a jpeg. BMP images are too large for those who are on dialup to download and show. Glory Questor is one of these who need to do this.
