Is that a Full Metal Alchemist Boxset I see up there?

Yes and No. It is the tin but from the "back angle". The top picture does make it look more like a box but it's the tin.

Any plans on replacing that bootleg collection of the Tenchi TV, OVA and movies with the real thing?

I wouldn't. He "bought" the series once so why buy it again. My friends let me borrow the first season of Initial D, bootleg because it was a 3 disc set, and I still bought the 13 DVDs only because the soundtrack was a whole lot better. I'm pretty sure he has no real incentive to re-purchase the series.

BestBuy is cheaper than Suncost, but just by a little. You can save quite a bit more by buying online at www.deepdiscountdvd.com Although BestBuy is useful for getting stuff that DDD doesn't have.

Sir Brass, what's the series behind your smaller red Gundam? The one that goes onto the gundam's right side.

Man, awesome collections. In the las year I finally got a job, and most of that money went to ps2/computer/my room. But this is definitely a way to sell anime =P. They should let you put your own pictures of your stuff in places that sell anime to entice other people to buy more I think, hah. It seems to be working well with everyone reading this thread.

WOW 8O

I see you have everything in alphabetical order. I try to do the same, but in the case of Macross and Tenchi Muyo, I try to put those in logical chronological order as they occured in the storyline.

Sort of like:
SDF Macross
Macross DYRL (If I were to buy if it were ever licensed)
Macross Flashback 2012 (If I were to buy if it were ever licensed)
Macross 7 (If I were to buy if it were ever licensed)
Macross Plus
Macross Plus Movie edition
Macross II

Or
Tenchi Muyo! Ryo Ohki OVA 1 and 2
Tenchi Muyo! GXP
Tenchi Muyo! Ryo Ohki OVA 3
However, where does Tenchi in Tokyo and Tenchi in Love and the movies occur?

Although, I'll probably have that much in two years or so.

As I promised, here are the pictures. I know. Everything is in a mess, and only most of my collection are here. Some are.... somewhere in the house. That's all I know. I'll find them, when I have the time, because I'm feeling lazy again.

I had to stand on my chair to take this picture. That's how much I have, spread out. Well, almost anyway. They're still stacked pretty deep. If you look at the next picture, you'll know how deep.
Pic 1

This one is a little blur, forgive me for the camera shake. I forgot to switch on the flash. And yes, those plastic drawers are DEEP, and they hold a lot. Besides that, they cheap. Which is the main reason stopping me from getting proper shelves. Because I've lived with having to rummage for stuff all over the house, and these plastic drawers have served me well over the years.
Pic 2

Anyway, I figured if I spread out my stuff, they'd cover the whole floor in my house, which is pretty small to begin with (only some 112 meters square).

Behind my Extended MSiA (a Gundam action figure line) Justice Gundam is, from just past left (according to camera) wingtip to just past right wingtip:

Stellvia (collector's tin, with Discs 1 and 2), Rurouni Kenshin OVA boxed set, Excel Saga imPerfect Collection, Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust, Spriggan, Voices of a Distant Star, Grave of the fireflys, Crest of the Stars complete collection, and next to that is RahXephon compete collection (in thinpak).

well thanks tony.....one more question then :P...say you get the collecters edition of some anime.....whats the difference from the regular next dvds as opposed to the slipcover ones. Can you put the slipcover ones with the collecters edition? Whats the best place to buy the slipcover ones..For instance...looking up X on http://dvdpricesearch.com/ i found only 5 and 6 had slipcovers....
Sure! Let's see.. the Limited Edition case comes with a Vol.1 (w/ slipcase) and houses the entire series. And as the term implies, this box and each slipcased volume are limited in quantity, and together, look like this:

Pic 1

Each volume has a black leather-ish(?) slipcase with shiny foil letters like this:

Pic 2
Pic 3

Underneath each slipcase, the volumes have there usual reversible covers and such like this:

Pic 4

And here are the side views, just for you :

Pic 6

I'm not really sure where to find them right now, but I'll search around and PM the results to you some time. Hope this helps!

Alas, collections at AnimeonDVD.com, mentioned by Steventheeunuch, far outclass mine. As for organizing my collection, I generally try to keep things together - i.e. Ah! My Goddess movie and Oh! My Goddess OVAs. I keep the box sets separately for logistics reasons (they fit on the shelf better together). Though I just noticed that I have Crest and Banner of the stars separated - I guess I'll fix that next time I move things around.

Wow, that's amazing. I would love to be able to come home to a shelf like that every day. Most of my anime is stuffed into slim CD cases and shelved snugly and undecoratively on the wall, so it's not much to look at unless you are impressed by 150+ CD case spines. *creeps away*

Ah, but I do have some snazzier things stuck up with my games that I'd snapshot if I had a place to post a pic to. Still is pretty pathetic, though. Oh well, maybe someday anime bargain bins will be a cheap and plentiful opportunity to expand one's collection. It somehow seems wrong that one can buy a newly released hollywood movie whose actors are being paid mega-millions for less than $20 and yet one has to fork over much more than this for three 26-minute animated episodes that may or may not be anything outstanding. Just saying, it seems wrong. Please don't argue, I'm just complaining.
