You really think White people consider us "Americans" when they call us a n*gger? To them we ain't no more American than a Mexican crossing the border so we might as well think about unifiying Africa.

...unity with Africa? Africans are Africans, black Americans are Americans. Why do people seem to think they are one in the same? They are two different races, cultures, beliefs and values. They don't even know where their ancestors hailed from and are considered native to America. So why is they don't celebrate their culture and forget about their ties to Africa? I'm tired of black Americans trying to celebrate African culture when they have their own culture and are totally different from Africans themselves. It's like an Italian celebrating british culture.

THat is a culture, just beacuse your white and cut your ties to europe doesnt mean we shoudl do the same -__-. Why does it matter to you what someone wants to celebrate. Just cuz you said something, im going to make an effort to celebrate kwaanza this year

Your analogy is an epic fail. Why shouldnt they hold on to african culture? It gives them a sense of belonging which we all need. Am kenyan, and i have many black american friends who hold on to african culture including my husband. I think he is more kenyan than me lol.

I will never separate myself from the motherland Africa. It's a beautiful continent, with a beautiful and fruitful history. Thanks, but no thanks. I LOVE African culture.

The Ancient Egyptians were Black, by the way.

I never have tried. And my culture is American...

What are you talking about?

I celebrate the 4th of July every year if you're wondering...

Black Americans are genetically related to African people.

Why would you encourage black americans to cut ties with their heritage?
