...weight issues? If no, explain WHY?
DON'T GIVE ME WEBSITES ON HOW TO LOOSE WEIGHT. I just want to know if you think that parents should be strict on children about being healthy, or not care that much.

NO. A Child does not need to be worrying about Dieting at their age. This is how you get Anorexic Wanna-Be Teenagers, who MUST Lose weight, because they are 100 pounds and can't keep up with their friends' bodies. No adult should be brainwashing their children into "educating them" on Weight Issues.

whilst i do not think they should, or for that matter need, to be 'stricter' as you say, i do think that they should, either separately or together, encourage children to be aware of the risks and restrictions associated, health wise etc, of being overweight and not eating in a healthy manner.

i do not think the responsibility belongs to one or the other but to both.

we should all be aware of the possible consequences of being overweight.

the best way with children is not to be strict or preach but to educate, encourage and teach, preferably by example.

sadly we are all too ready to criticise and impose things on others than we are to do something about it.
