So I went on vacation for thanksgiving to Guatemala, I had unlocked my 8120 earlier that month so I could use a local sim card when I got there.
When I got to Guatemala I used my phone 5 times with about a total of 5 minutes. I kept getting emails and txt messages but I didn't open them, didn't want to get charged, or so I thought.
So I put a sim card that same night, and store my Tmo sim and was happy!
Then today when my new bill shows up on the website I see, $281.99!!!
My usual bill is around 135 with taxes.
So I called Tmo cs and ask what the problem was and why my bill was so high!
Well it seems my initial request to add international calling for $4.99 - so I could get the .26 cents per minute rate was never added and they were charging me $1.49 per minutes!
After about an hour on the phone with them they ended up only waiving $56 dollars but said they would not waive the other $60 because I was roaming while in guatemala for 30 minutes
$2.00 a minute!!!
To say the least, I am pissed!!! And if I cancel my line - I have 3 lines in my account- I have to pay the etf.
I'm really thinking of just dropping all the add-ons and leaving at the minimum and go to Att or Verizon!
Tmo customer service has become so low now, they promise to call you in an hour or two and never do! They are becoming to shady!
I think that after 2 and half years with them im going to call it quits on them.
