two 10'' L5 kickers -- $300
two 12'' MTX subs w/ enclosure & amp -- $259
two 10'' L5 solobaric kickers -- $300
two 12" MTX JackHammer 55 Series -- $300
two 12'' MTX Thunder Round Enclosure -- $305

which subs should i get?

i don't know much about subwoofers. i talked to a guy at a local audio store and he said kickers blow easily and don't last very long but i've heard different from other people.

That is so true about Kicker subs, their speakers suck because of that fact. MTX is not much better though. Instead of getting 2 of any of those subs that you are looking at, try this site:
www.sonicelectronix.com
Look at the Orion HCCA 10" subs, (for just 1 sub HCCA 10.2, for 2 subs HCCA 10.4) they are 1500 watts rms and will out pound all the subs that you have mentioned, and be louder. This line of subwoofers from Orion are pure monsters. If you really want to get 1 HCCA 12.2 and that will be more than enough, that 1 12.2 will eat all of those subs you have mentioned alive and ask for more.

i would agree with the store rep, kickers tend to not last a mtx will outlast a kicker not only in durability and in sound quality any day my suggestion would be to get the MTX.
