Should I get JL Audio W1V2 subwoofers for my car or Rockford Fosgate P1's?

They're both boxed ten inch dual subwoofer sets. For the JL's I would get an Alpine 500 watt amp, and for the Rockfords I would get a Rockford 500 watt amp. The price spread is about 80 bucks, the JL's being the more pricey ones. I've heard JL is the best of the best, the main name brand, but I've also heard Rockfords are usually pretty comparable. I'm going for enhancing overall sound quality, not necessarily loudness. It's just that I have a great set of Bose speakers in my car with no sub, which I think is a shame. I listen to a little bit of everything, but mostly rock of all kinds, which is why I elected to get ten inchers for the faster bass. Any input would be appreciated

I personally like the JL's compared to the RF's...

seen/heard both.

10's are great for what you want for sure.

The RF's seem to be a bit cheaply made compared to the JL's....IMO...

I personally tho like LOUD bass. So neither of those suit me fine. But I totally understand what you are looking for..And I think you'd be happy with the JL's, The JL's will give you better sound quality. The RF's will give you a bit more loudness. I do not think the RF's will give you clearer sounding bass that you are looking for compared to the JL's.
